Cheap Grant Gloves

Anyone know why these Grant gloves are so cheap?

http://www.centuryfitness.com/webapp...egory_rn=13523

I thought Grant gloves normally sell for $100+. What's up with these?? $40????

Anyone know anything about these?

strange.. yes...

but judging from the picture.. that doesn't look like real leather by the way it creases o the curves...

i suppose it's Grants economy line?.. i would think that's a bad business move since that dilutes Grants image as a top-quality/high-end product..

Great. Now I'm just waiting for someone to brag about their $30 Cleto Reyes gloves..."But they're Cleto Reyes!! They're real quality, high-class gloves. I swear."

Dick's Sporting Goods is selling the Grant economy line now. They have the gel glove wraps, bag gloves and heavybags.

i think the cleto reyes ppl are smarter than that...

plus, when u introduce an economy line.. they NEED to acknowledge the fact it's an ECONOMY line (if u keep ur original name in it).. or else it damages the image perception of their other products...

some examples:
Ringside - Top Contender
TITLE - TITLE Classic
Sprawl - CageWalk

and vice versa too:
Lexus - Toyota (in the US)
Acura - Honda (in the US)

i think that's why Everlast gets a bad rep here.. their expensive gloves are good quality gloves.. yet their economy $30 ones at dept stores SUCK!.. but there's no differientation on the packaging making everyone's brand perception (with experience with the $30 ones) carry over to the expensive ones as well..

some companies don't even wana deal with economy lines at all.. "fairtex, windy, cleto reyes" and we know how we all percieve those brands..

Saw them, tried them on. Slightly better than the cheapie everlast training synthetic gloves. The only thing "Grant" about them is the label.

i seen these at BIG5 the other day. I was like hell no. Hopefully its not like everlasts economy line. Title classic and top contender are pretty good imo. I think i heard somewhere that the everlast economy are made in taiwan?
