MMA Gloves > Boxing gloves.

I can not stand boxing gloves. They drive me crazy. It is impossible to train for an MMA match with them. I always use my MMA gloves even if we are just standing up. Are there any advantages to using boxing gloves? Thoughts?

Boxing gloves are better than mma gloves, because they protect the other guy's head. MMA gloves do alot more damage. Boxing gloves>MMA gloves.

....Gloves weren't designed to protect the other guys head they were designed to protect the fighter's HAND.

MMA gloves>boxing gloves only if you hate your training partner. Safety is the issue here.

that is a rediculous statement. have your training partner smack you around for an hour with MMA gloves on you'll most likely retract that last statement. Training gloves protect both your hands and the opponent.

Well, mma gloves don't work very well at protecting your hands.(Rich Franklin vs. The Crow). Obviously boxing gloves are safer.

Yeah exactly. The original question was pretty stupid.

Gloves do protect the other fighter. (Slightly) However the MAIN use is to protect your hands. It has nothing to do with your head I've read that in several books.

Ken Shamrock is better than Muhammad Ali, because Ali wasn't good at heel hooks!
