which mma gloves?
what's up everybody? i'm a brand spankin newbster. I just started training at a miletich school here in fl 2 months ago and i'm looking for some advice on gloves. i have the 16oz fairtex pro sparring gloves already and i'm looking to get a pair of 12oz gloves (thinking windy's) and some mma gloves. a guy i train with swears by his rogue competitions (even for sparring), but i've also been looking at the gameness primetimes on ssf, the ssf mma gloves, and fairtex as well. i'm looking to use them as an all around glove (bags, pads, sparring, etc.). i've been browsing around here for the last couple of days, but i haven't been able to make a decision. so what do you guys think? thanks in advance.

I have Windy bag gloves (12oz) and Windy sparring gloves (16oz) and I really like them. I also have Combat Sports bag gloves and training gloves that I love as well. As far as mit and bag work, use whatever gloves you want, but only assholes spar with competition gloves.

MEEEEEE TOO. I fucking love my SSF shooto gloves. They fit perfectly, have plenty of padding but in exactly the right place, and are sturdy as fuck. I have put them through hell and they still look brand new.

Why? I don't have any experience with Gameness gloves (I love their VT shorts that I have, and I have a nice shirt of theirs), but aren't they primarily a BJJ/grappling company? And isn't Windy primarily a striking company? That difference should probably factor into your decision.

The CSI version is probably pretty good... simply because CSI makes good stuff, although I haven't read any reviews on the product. REAL PrideFC gloves are probably pretty good too, at least comparable to any other competition glove (but again, these are competition gloves and not for training). As of right now, I don't believe any site is selling REAL PrideFC gloves... the gloves on their website are replica gloves.
