MMA glove for pad work
Before anyone jumps on me or shoots me down, I do have a pair of Fairtex boxing glove which i use when i do my standup... however, there are times that we do transition drills in training and we hit some thai pads or focus mitts while we're at it so i was wondering what would be a good MMA for this type of work and at the same time isn't too expensive?? I'm considering the SSF shooto glove but I also wanna hear other reviews and recommendations

If you must hit pads with MMA gloves just use whatever glove you're most comfortable with when you're sparring. There's no such thing as an MMA glove that's good for pad work, so... whatever you want, I suppose.

whats wrong with doing your drills with your bag gloves on, i see guys all the time doing circuits where they hit the bag then drop down for some pushups and what not.
or you can get a pair of those thumbless bag gloves.

I'm talking about MMA drills so hitting the pads, shooting, sprawling and setting up submissions are par of the drill.. if submissions were not done, bag gloves would already suffice

I hit pads with my mma gloves all the time.
I do not, however, hit the bag with mma gloves.
Anyone who wants a good transition between striking and grappling needs to hit pads with MMA gloves on at least every now and then.
Id go with some fairtex gloves or twins gloves

The Combat Sports International Training MMA glove is great for pad work. You can view and purchase MMA gloves at Bigjohngear.com. We also carry Offical UFC Ouano gloves!

Go bare-fist mate...
Nah seriously, use any MMA glove with some padding, like 6 oz or more. Wrap your hands good if they're not conditioned.
