Lack of street wear for our sport?

Anyone notice this. Aside from selections from some companies there realy isnt a solid line of street wear for fans of our sport. Somthing that is a little more low key and attractive that you could wear to work (depending on where you work), to the club, etc etc.

I mean Tap Out has some selections, as do other companies but when it boils down to it most of the designs out there are made more for the hardcore fan.

Do you feel that a company offering more fashionable street apperal would be somthing you could get on board with? Somthing where if you got your girl a shirt from there she would be stoaked to wear it and not just do it to please you (aside from those lovely ladies who train).

I'm thinking a company that offers nice Polo's, Button ups, T's, Hoodies, Jackets, Shorts, Jeans, Pants and accesories could be a good thing for our sport given its growth rate.

Whats your 2 cents? Also do you have any designs or peices from current companys you'd be happy to wear around town? If so show em off.

I know what you mean. And most of the guys that I have met that are decked out in Tapout dont even train, how lame is that. I know the Japan market has a lot more stuff like you talking about.

Yeah I mean there needs to be somthing that is a litte more street apperal for fans out there. Tap Out is cool but its realy for people who train or are huge fans, its a little on the bold side for the average fan. Lets face it as much as I like a lot of gear that comes out of the companies its more or less gear with some t-shirts, hoodies, and accesories thrown in the mix... lots of it with not much style (ie sprawl... amazing shorts... apperal is a side note).

I have had some people shit on me for this theroy saying that you couldnt target MMA fans because they tend to be such a mix ... urban hip hop, goth, punk, etc. But i just don't buy it. I think there is a market for a company that could make Polo's, Button Downs, Hoodies, T's, Shorts, Jeans, and accesories that is targeted at MMA fans and Fighters alike.

I mean realy just cause we train doesnt mean we dont go out or want to look good. I love tap out but I cant wear joggers and shorts to the club.

Examples of what I'm saying:

http://www.neweracap.com/eshop3/2006...bee-detail.cfm (Killer Bee's Hat... how fast did those sell out eh?)
http://www.inspirit.jp (Gear yes but look at the collection of apperal)
http://killerbee.jp/shop/pc/index.php?a=&mem_id= (Again, some gear, but realy for fans more then anything)

I just see it like how the Snowboard, Skateboard, and Skiing industrys have done it (I used to have a snowboard film company so... you know)

I'd just buy anything and wear it. It's not really the brand name, but also more importantly, HOW IT LOOKS.

I've got my Sprawl, my Tapouts, my NoGis whatever. It just has to look good.

I wear my Nogi USA hat and T shirt out sometimes. Chicks dig matching caps and tees.

definetly agreed..but i think the problem is that companies would need to get to the level of saya billabong, or fox..which is motocross, in order to make jeans and stuff like that...dont get me wrong i would love to wear a nice looking pair of jeans made buy a fightwear company..or hoody, especially polos..i rock alot of polos..button downs too..i think it would be a great idea to make something like that happen, but im not positive on how lucrative it could be if it didnt come from tapout..they pretty much seem to be the leader in this area right now...they started making some crazy ass hats that are like 55 dollars..and i love them

they seem to kinda be heading in this direction..other companies should take note and try to emulate that feel

check out the gear at www.xyience.com they have an ENTIRE line of EVERYTHING you can freakin imagine.. from thongs to hats, to hoodies, to shorts etc etc..

not reasonably priced, yes... but very stylish.. and a lot of their designs aren't very blatantly advertising xyience.. love some of the apparel there, but it's just too damn expensive!

i'm actually surprised at how much they invested in stylish clothing..
