Lucky Gi Review

Overall 7/10

So i splurged since it was recently my birthday and bought a Lucky Kimono. It was quite hard to get it shipped to Canada as the online site would simply not allow it. I called an OTM store and someone did me a favor and packed it up.

The gi looks quite similar to a gameness platinum weave. ( Could it be made by gameness?? ) It fits slim and is closer to a double weave than a single. The skirt is too long for my liking. The pants are really nice with the built in knee pads. They remain light and just had a slight amount of padding to ease the knees when grappling. The gi is made in china which kinda pissed me off considering the price. I am 6'1 185 lbs and A3 top and a3 pants fit. They do not have any sizing info anywhere. I usually wear a4 atama pants.. but these a3 pants were long enough. It comes with a belt which seems to be descent quality but i noticed the ranking sleeve is much too high and needs to be resewn closer to the tip of the belt. Everyone at the club really likes the look of it cause its different and the green stiching does look pretty good.

Hope this helps anyone looking to buy one...

With the 5 gi's i own i must say i like the fit of the atama mundial series the best. They are a really nice gi overall and I would prefer it to the lucky esp when you consider price. The new ultralight weave atama has is nice also. A friend just bought one and its perfect for training in hot weather.

Thanks for the review. I have always thought Lucky was more of one of those " gotta get em all" kinda gi's. I own a gold weave Atama and a mundial atama and love both.
