Long shorts vs. Board shorts

What's the difference between board shorts and long shorts?

Thinking about ordering a pair from tapout but can't decide.

I have the long shorts, and I love them. Most fighters tend to wear long shorts.

Though I don't have a pair, my understanding is that the material of the board shorts is a bit stiffer, and not quite as good for grappling.

I would go with the long shorts.

ok..heres the deal..the long shorts are made of a very light, and not stretchy material at all, but there great shorts with alot of movement..great for grappling, or full mma as u can tell cuz alot of guys in the ufc wear em in fights

now on to the boardshorts..they are exactly like the us nogis..very stretchy, forgiving material, and they have that cool, u can wear them anywhere look..i wear mine for grappling and training all the time..i actually like them better then the long shorts..there by no means limiting, or restricting in movement..if u own a pair of nogi's, they are exactly the same..thats the best way i can compare

hope this helps, and personally i like the boardshorts better for training

I heard they were the same except the boardies had pockets as well.

Do the long shorts have the inside pocket?

the long shorts seem to be lighter in weight then the board shorts. theyre both great shorts in terms of training and casual wear, the only downside being that the long shorts have no pockets for carrying keys, wallet, etc....

yeah, ive found myself folding my wallet on the waist of them, and having to have a lanyard for my keys if i wear them out somewhere, not the greatest for casual wear
