I’ve read a number of threads about summer gi’s including the groundcontrol, SSF and Vulkan. My question is in most of the threads it is either stated or I am assuming these are being used for BJJ. Are these to light for Judo? Will they rip from the pulling?
I will be starting Judo/BJJ classes in late July early August when the weather will be at it’s hottest. I went in and watched a class and I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and due to lack of air-conditioning and only the use of big fans I was sweating balls just watching, I can’t imagine doing the class with a heavy gi...
What about for workout/training purposes though? I doubt I will ever compete in Judo I'm only taking it because the school I will be going to likes you to take it as a good foundation for 6 months before entering there BJJ class.
The cut is totally different. The judo gi has wider arm holes, longer skirt, 2 piece design. A JJ gi is cut much closer and most are a one piece design.
