Lace up vs. hook and loop

Ok I am finally going to buy a new set of gloves and I can't figure out if I want to go with lace up gloves or not. I have only trained with hook and loop and really have no complaint about them but everytime I try a lace up glove on they just seem more comfy to me. Do you guys feel the same way too?

I still don't know which gloves to get and I am not about to start another glove thread but, suggestions are appreciated.

lace ups can provide a better custom fit, but take longer to put on/off every time.

for training purposes, just go with the hook and loop.

in my gym its encouraged for everyone to have their own equipment, most have hook n loop, but ive noticed people with lace up gloves dont even bother tryin to lace em up, especially with our rest between different rounds (jiu-jitsu, clinch/wrestling, stand-up) only being 30 seconds

Yup. No one ever bothers lacing up lace up gloves.

It depends if you take your gloves on and off during training or you leave them on. So if possible I would go with the lace-ups but sometimes they can be a real headache.

I've got the Thunder Red PRIDE style lace ups, and I love them for everything other than on and off time. I don't shed mine between rounds of rolling or while in the gym, so it's no big deal, but it's a pain in the ass getting the things on or off in a hurry. They're also a pain in the ass for me to lace and tie if I'm wearing hand wraps, but I don't normally spar with them, and only bag train in them if I don't feel like busting out my other gloves, so know real need for the wraps under most circumstances.

I love the laceups it feels so snug and custom I'm lucky I have partners who don't mind at all to help me since they know I have hand problems.

I've got the lace up CSI training mma gloves and the hook and hook and loop Throwdown training mma gloves. When training we almost always use the Throwdown ones because we are too lazy to lace up our gloves but I must admit that I do think the lace ups are more comfortable, even on training mma gloves.
