Koral sizing question

Well I'm looking at the Koral MKM in blue, and I don't quite know what size I am from the sizing guide.

I'm 5'8 and 140. BUT I'm only 13 and still growing so I don't know what size I should get. I have an Atama Royce Gracie that is an A2 but it looks like Koral has a different sizing guide.

Also, I read something about washing the gi in a special way so the color locks, whats that about?

Holy shit. 13 and 5'8"??? Fuck dude you're going to be a giant. Anyways you might as well get the cheaper version (same quality). You're an A1 but you won't be an A1 in a year so get an A2. It'll be really baggy but you'll get used to it and eventually you'll grow into it. If you get an A1 it won't fit you in a year and a half I bet.

I don't want a really baggy gi. Thing is, my Royce Gracie fits fine as an A2. If I can find a good quality blue gi like the Koral MKM in the same-ish size as my Royce Gracie, I'll probably get that.

I was going to get the RG in blue, but with Atama's recent price influex I don't really feel like dropping 170 bucks.

With a wash and Dryer how much do the Koral gi's shrink . . . anyone? anyone?

Me: 5'6" - 150 Right between an a-1 and a-2 depending on how much shrinkage is expected.

Do they shrink more than once? Or is the shrinking just a one time thing?

Yeah, I've never had a problem with mine shrinking. I have the MKM in a A2 I'm 5'9" and weigh 150 and it fits me perfectly. But I would go with the cheaper classic gi. I'm pretty sure it is the same thing, just without the patches of the MKM competition. But good choice on a gi, Koral is definitely the way to go.

Pretty patches.

Would the A2 fit me comfortably enough?

An A1 fits me perfectly and I'm 5'8" and walking around 160 at the moment. It's snug and legal for competition. I owned an A2 and it was baggy for me (not too baggy but baggy enough that I didn't wear it as often as other kimonos). I'd get an A2 for the simple fact that it'll save you some money since you're gonna grow more.

I agree with the A2 sizing. Koral Gi's are slimmer cut than a lot of Gi's. Even if it is a bit big, it won't be sloppy judo gi big.

Don't forget you can mix tops and bottoms.
