well, they manufacture the overeem shorts and those are pieces of crap so I can only assume the gi will fall apart

I'll put it another way. The only people that would be able to tell you would be the people that run mmagear.com. Not many people that have ordered from them (be it gis shorts or otherwise) have actually received their orders, there by making reviews impossible.
