Kick Shield Reccomendations?

Hey guys... I have been looking for a good kick shield i.e. thai suitcase for training legs kicks, front kicks, knees etc.. and wondered if you guys had any recommendations... the one my partner and I have been using is like 4 inches of some cheap foam and the bag holder gets punished pretty good. I was leaning toward the Fairtex thai suitcase just because I own their Thai pads and the quality and density of the material is good but if there is a comparable one at a cheaper price or better one I would be all ears... thanks

Combat Sports International is sold out of like every damn kickpad or bigpad they have. I was going to order one a few days ago but I decided to get some Thai Pads. And they were sold out of most of those too. I really want the big pad CSI has.

cool

Yeah I really like my thai pads for med to high kicks even though it can generate a ton of torque on your forearms if your kicker has some power (there is some adaptation and learning curve in holding them corectly) but a shield is really nice for leg kicks knees and front/thrust kicks. I typically rotate charging my partner and having him adjust by either throwing a knee, front kick or what not depending on distance.. this isnt as practical w the thai pads... that or circle away from him and have him pound me w leg kicks.

I ordered the Fairtex extra thick thai pads and the leg kick shield almost a year ago and I'm very happy with them both. The quality is excellent but you have to pay the price for it.

I did notice that the LKP1 Fairtex thai suitcase is no longer listed on Fairtex's product page hrmmm... wonder if its being discontinued... though I can still find it on Ebay

Lol my job requires me to use my legs so taking repeated unprotected shots is out of the question though I am sure there are some crazy mofo's who do that to adapt to the pain...
hehe do you own the curved body shield, the leg kick pad or "the big pad"?

Pro boxing has a really nice kick shield, it's really cheap too. They're a little bit heavy but it feels great when you kick em.

It's the first one on the link provided.

ASP bags

The bags we are currently using are intended to be used with the ASP striking baton.

http://alternateforce.stores.yahoo.net/asp0710x.html

I am a Correctional Officer and we have a ton of these lying around in the gym but man they are defanitely not built for absorbing kicks... you can totally feel a hard knee or shin. My partner holds two of them together but its way too bulky... looking for a denser more absorbent bag/shield.
