Just got my SSF shorts...

And I have to say they seem quite durable. I'll let you know how well they feel when I actually train in them. From the looks alone and trying them on and throwing some kicks on my heavybag, they seem good, especially for their price. The split seams are always worth it and the sizing is perfect. Thanks!

The SSF shorts I have (the grappling ones, I do not yet have the split seams, but they should be coming soon) have some burly elastic. The waist of the my 32s should fit pretty much anyone.
