Isami sizing??

I'm actually thinking of ordering an Isami single weave JJ-15, but it's hard to tell what size to get from the web site - does anyone have an Isami and can give me some idea if they're sized the same way "most" BJJ gis are??? I'm normally an A3, generally speaking - 5'11" and 165lbs.... any help would be greatly appreciated....

i have an isami jj200 (red one) and i'm 5'6 and 160 pounds. I rock the A2 and it fits fine for me, it's a bit baggier than my gameness and my koral though. I think for your size, you'd probably be better off with an A2 top and A3 pants.

My brother weighs 185 pounds and is about 5'9" he says that the A3 i got him is too baggy........ so take it for what it's worth. That's how i feel about the JJ200....... never dealt with the jj15 before.

Good luck, and email those guys, they're quick and have good customer service

I have the jj-200

im 6'0 208lbs

I bought the a-4 and nuked it on high in the dryer to get fit. Fits about perfect. My only complaint is the sleeves are a little more baggy than i like.

I probably could have got away with an a3 if i just air dried it,

I would say these gis are a little baggier than your average gi.

Thanks for the responses. How long is the A4 now that it has shrunk? I'm not really concerned about a little bagggy, that's ok with me, but I'd like to get the sleeve and jacket length right....

They have suggested I get the A3, but I'm concerned that it will end up too short because I want to use the dryer, not just hang it. So how is the length??

Thanks for the help.

Well, after extensive emailing I went ahead and ordered an A3 in the JJ-15, which is supposed to be a very light weight gi.... I hope it's the right size, I guess I can always put it on eBay if it's too small.... somewhat of an expensive experiment but what the heck.

Theres no way its gonna be too small. Cuz you would be swimmin in a a-4

Got the light-weight BJJ Isami gi jj-15 from Japan, it got here really fast. Nice gi, maybe just a tiny bit lighter than a Kikskin single, clean no logo etc., fairly thin collar but it's not meant to be a comp. gi, ok pants, the sizing is basically A3 and it is fine, I could even shrink it a little in the dryer if I wanted too....
