I haven't tried the quad layer foam, but I'm a pretty big fan of the IMF tech stuff I've got (bag gloves, training gloves, and mma gloves). The boxing gloves in particular just feel like they offer better protection to my hands than did previous boxing gloves (used ringside super bag gloves and 16 oz. training gloves). Doesn't need much breaking in at all, but it isn't mushy by any stretch of the imagination. Nice, solid glove.

the mma gloves I'm still getting used to. The padding part is fine, it's the leather finger loops that are messing with me. And the bulk of the padding on the back of the glove is giving me a little trouble passing guard and stuff like that. The profile of these mma gloves as opposed to other CSI ones is a little more pronounced. I'm giving them a few more months worth of training before I make a final call.
