IMF MMA training glove by CSI

Here is new glove sold by CSI:
http://www.combatsports.com/detail_imf.aspx?ID=22499

Is this time to throw away 16oz boxing sparring gloves and to work out with only 1 pair of gloves in your bag? With CSI MMA training gloves this was ruled out, because the padding was too thin. IMF gloves seems to have much bigger padding.

CSI comments are very welcome!

I dont like gloves like that..
In my experience i have found they are useless for grappling.. too bulky. Might aswell be wearing a pair of 16 oz boxing gloves anyway.
I still like the Primetime gloves better for MMA sparring, good for grappling and punching..

It looks almost exactly like the Fairtex Sparing glove to me.

Forget grappling, just to spar with while standing and being able to realistically clinch and go for takedwons in enough. You can spar full force standing with the primetimes unless you hit like a 12 year old girl.

Ever try to realistically clinch or do takedowns with 16oz gloves?

yah.. i know what your saying.. i am just saying i have tried shooto style gloves and for me they arent taht great.. they are just too much like wearing boxing gloves.

Like before i got my P/T's i was wearing competition gloves for sparring and it was ok.. just had to ease up on the punches.. because we have a large team of MMA fighters and want them to get used to the gloves they will be using in their fights.. So now we use the P/t 's because they are more realistic to actual comp. gloves...same feel, simialr style.. stuff like that..
If we are going to t-off on each other we just wear full boxing gloves.
Know what i mean?

Dont get me wrong.. i am not bashing CSI or these exact glvoes.. I would like to try these gloves out.. Because i havent tried these exact ones.. they do look like decent gloves...

I don't understand why the orginal CSI glove isn't good enough. It's small enough for good grappling and it is good enough for light - medium sparring; You can do realistic. intense standup with them. I don't understand what it is with some of you bashers need to go full force during training.
