I've got these and they have worked well for me. A pro fighter in my gym wears them as well and he goes way harder than I do.

Easy. Hayabusa. Use the SDOG discount and they are under budget. Actually the pads mentioned above are just CSI shin pads with the Tapout skin. Same factory, same pad. If you want those, save yourself some money and get the blue or red CSI pads. They are the exact same thing.

I've got these and I really like them. Plenty of padding and they stay in place better than most I have tried. That is the worst part about some of the cheaper ones, they tend to slide around on the leg.

Do NOT get the Tapout's they're just more expensive versions of the csi shin pads and the tapouts have a hole in the back that your heel will get caught in EVERYTIME you try to put them on and get ripped up. I have a pair of the Hayabusa's and they are way better than the tapouts because there's no hole so they just slip right on and they're ventilated so your legs don't get as sweaty either. If you don't get the hayabusa's go with the csi grappling shin pads because they offer the same protection, are more flexible in the ankle, and are easier to get on/off than the tapouts.

I think some posters aren't doing the math. He needs TWO pair that cost less than $80 TOTAL including shipping. This really limits the options to shinpads that DO suck.

I'd use your skills to rob some kids of their lunch money and get two pair of KO Fightgear shinguards. You'd be at $100 total with free shipping. Or call Neil and ask if they sell factory rejects at a discount.

I just noticed that. Going to be hard to get 2 pair for $80 that don't suck. For one decent durable pair you are normally looking at $50-60.

That's interesting. I did not know that. Several guys in my gym have the CSI pads. Some have had some problems with the back ripping. I guess that's something I should look out for as well. I got a really good deal on my Tapouts though, so I'm pretty happy.
