I have questions about hanging up a Muay Thai Heavy Bag.

Hello guys.

I have a couple questions, I plan on getting a Muay Thai Heavy Bag for Christmas and I am planning on hanging it on some wooden joists in an old room in the basement.

This is the bag: http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=22662

Would wooden support joists be able to support a heavy bag?

Would a wooden beam heavy Bag attachment be compatible and be able to support this specific bag? Examples: http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=22008
http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=22412

I'm open to other suggestions or even a recommendation of another Muay Thai bag, though I would like it to be heavy and preferably leather so it will last.

Thanks guys.

Thank you! I take it the spring in the picture comes with the heavy bag hanger?

This is the first time I have purchased such a heavy bag, my previous bag I just kind of tied around a support board.

Springs are usually sold seperately.

Nevermind, I see the heavy duty spring is sold separately.

No, you will need to buy one separately. I highly suggest that you get one.
