How many times did you heat up your ProTech guard to get your bottom impression?
I think I'm on #5 now and I still haven't been able to get my front teeth to impress...

...CRAP...forgot to even try it with mine (granted it hasn't been used yet)....that's on my list of things to do now.
What's so hard with getting an impression? Material doesn't get soft enough? Being overly cautious cause you don't want to bite through (which is my big worry)?

Yeah... at first I was cautious... but then I started letting the water get hotter, and stay in for longer etc. I think I did it 15 times if not more and I've got a decent impression (not nearly as much as a boil and bite would have on the bottom) that works well... we'll see how well it goes in training.

Use super hot water. Tom uses one of those mini blow torches. I saw one on a mouthguard making site and thought about picking one up for the hell of it (I'm a collector of random things, unused yellow sprawls as a reference).
It's like a cigar lighter
