I am 6'1 190lbs, but i have chicken legs. I measured the circumference around my calfs and at its biggest its between 15 and 15 an 1/2 inches. Anyway, i just got the size large CSI amateur grappling shinguards and they fit well around my calf, but they are to short on the shin. they end like alittle more then 2 inches below my knee which is pretty short. So I called CSI and they said the XL's will definately cover up to my knee and give me the shin protection, but they are wider so they might not hug my calf as much, and as most of u know these only have the strap across the top, so the hug of the neoprene on the calf is the only thing that keeps the shinguard in place.

So i guess my question is, does anyone have the XL's and what is your calf size. The larges fit snug but are to short on the shin, and im sure the XL's will cover the shin great but since i have skinny calves they might not hug my calves as tight. Any thoughts or recommendations??

i don't have the XLs but i bet they'll fit. if the larges are pretty snug i don't think the XLs would be too loose. i went through the same thing when i got these guards a few months back. it was pretty irritating since i think it would be such a simple thing to put more size info on the website.
