how long to receive protech mouthguard?

I was just wondering how long it took you guys to get your mouthguard from protech.

It's been almost 3 weeks since I got the paypal bill that said the guard was in production and would ship within a few days. Before you guys say just ask tom, I have. I've emailed him twice this week with no response.

Everyone here seems to have good things to say about tom and protech so this seems a little out of character for him. I'm starting to wonder if there was a problem with the mouthguard or if the shipment got lost.

I am in the same boat. I have emailed and PM'd numerous times and have not received any replies. It has been almost 2 weeks for me. I hope all is ok with him.

I wouldn't say it takes forever.. It took me a month or so from start to finish and I'm in New Zealand.

About a week to get the kits, I sent it back the next day. Then we waited for him to get them and in the meantime we discussed what he could do. I was slack and didn't get him the logos and stuff I wanted on them too quickly. But once he got them I think he was done in 3-4 days, a week tops and then he fired it back out to me. Took around 5 days to get to me but that's cos every customs agency seemed to want to take a look at the package.

i think it's taking much longer to get mine than foppa even though he's in new zealand, and he got a complicated design and all I got was a solid color.

the date I originally contacted protech asking for a mouth guard was Feb. 28. When I said it's been 3 weeks that was just from the time i got the paypal bill after I'd already sent back the impressions. On the paypal bill it said it would ship within a few days. I assumed that meant less than week.

If it's typical for it to take a while then I'll wait. I'm just surprised that everyone here likes protech so much. It doesn't seem like most people on here have much patience for vendors that are slow to ship and don't answer emails. I don't mind waiting for a custom mouthguard, I just don't like not getting an answer when I try to contact a company after I've already paid them. I'd be fine if he just took 2 seconds to say "still working on it".

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. I'd be a bit worried, too, mainly because you're not getting a response. My Gladiators took about 5 days, beginning to end, for both my solid and my 3-D fangs. Different companies, but still...

Sounds a bit out of character. I got one several months ago and total turn around time was less than 2 weeks though it was a simple design. You have one month to contest the charges with Paypal so you might want ot exercise that option just in case.

mine took abt 4 weeks from start to finish, it was a fairly complicated design, and when he was abt to put the last layer on it, he messed up, so he had to start fromm scratch..the whole time though he was in contact with me, phone calls, and pms here on sherdog..overall i have had a great experience with the company...i guess some of u other guys havnt been so lucky with protech

great guard though, def worth the wait
