Home speed bag & platform?

Hey all, did a search that turned up links to title boxing but nothing specifically for apartments...

I'm going to put a speed bag into my apt in a few weeks, just mounting on wall -- anyone have experience with an apt setup that can offer some guidance?

Thanks.

In an apartment you'll likely be getting compliants from neighbours. I have one in my basement and it can be heard everytime its used, even upstairs.

I would not get one that you put on the wall at an apt. It's gonna ratle the fuck outta the wall and make a lot of noise and your nieghbor is gonna kill you! Speed bags a re pretty load, it's almost like a drum.

Right, assuming I don't care about the noise, can anyone suggest a good set-up?

Those $99 dollar stands that hold a heavybag one one side and a speedbag on the other suck, but if you are living in an apartment, that is probably your best solution. If you do that, replace the speedbag and swivel that come with it because the stock one sucks.

Ringside was selling a speed bag and platform setup for like a hundred bucks and you just tell them what sort of hardware you need when you order it. Obviously you would get the hardware to mount to studs in the wall. Anyways it will be freakin loud and rattle the walls pretty damn good. Just buy the setup that someone else mentioned that holds a heavybag and speed bag.
