help me out with brands, model budget please

hey everyone,

I finally saved up some money and also I'll be going to the US soon so this is my chance to spend "big" and buy all the gear I need at once. However I don't know much about the best brands, models and retailers so I need your help. I wonder if it is possible to get a gi, shorts, mma gloves and a rashguard for around two hundred bucks, maybe a bit more.
I'll be visiting the San Diego area and someone had already replied that On The Mat has a store there, however I didn't see stuff I liked on the website and I wonder if maybe ordering online with lower or no shipping fees is a better idea. I dont know much but I'm looking for a gi for judo and or jj which is light for hot weather and easier washing.
thanks

the OTM shops usually have a bunch of stuff that aren't on the site. you can actually call them to see if they have it and sometimes they order stuff that you need. that way you don't have to pay s/h

I would imagine that all of that material would cost a little over $200. I went to the OnTheMat store in my area and they only had Sprawl and Warrior Wear shorts there. Maybe they had another brand I forget but the shorts there were like $45+. I would imagine the gi to cost at least $80. The rashguard would probably be $40 and the MMA gloves another $40 or so.

thanks,

I guess according to budget I'll skip out on buying MMA gloves and a rashguard abroad, and from what I've seen I'm better off ordering everything to a friends house in SoCal and then picking everything up when I fly there.

gotta ask as well, any of you ever seen shorts or rashguards in this color combination? it's my unis colors so it would be cool to get gear in those colors and get a patch of the logo on it, here are the colors (it is a blue-gold kind of thing)

Oldschool first model sprawl rashguards were blue and yellow print. they were very cool.

As for blue and gold, Manto is the only company I can think of. Of course, all they have in those colors are one pair of shorts and a ton of hoodies and t-shirts.

Another suggestion for a gi if you're going to order online and ship it to your friends house is HCK. The website is howardliu.com
