Heavy bag repair

So I move my bag around a lot and I think with the lack of proper care I've been giving it (got it used for cheap) it's sustained a tear through the first part of the material. Is that gonna get significantly worse? (it's near the bottom) And are there materials to tape it with that are meant for such things?

If it helps I know it didn't tear from use. I think it just met the wrong end of something in the back seat of a car.

Well, if its near the bottom fo the bag, duct tape at +2 inches from the tear, over the tear, and another 2 inches below the tear will hold it. My favorite bag (old, cheap-ass Everlast canvas 75lber) tore in a very similar manner, and Duct tape has held it together for 5 years without reapplication.
That being said: bags are chap as shit. Check out www.ringside.com , www.combatsports.com , and www.boomersmma.com for heavybag deals.
