The Gi Pants Thread
Alright, I did a search, and saw that this topic has already been covered; however, it's scattered, and being OCD about this stuff the way that I am, I thought with a little effort on my part, we might work together towards a sticky (I'm gonna keep working on this, so give it time).
To the forum, my question is simply: ignoring the top, which brand of pants do you feel are the best?
Links to merchants of gi pants minus the jacket:
Jujitsu Pro Gear: Adidas, Bad Boy, Dragao, HCK, Keiko Raca, Koral, Krugans, Sirius, Vulkan
SSF Pants
Warrior-One Pants
HCK Pants
Ouano Pants
Atama Pants
Mizuno Judo Gi Pants (via judogis.com)
And here are some already compiled reviews/comments/questions that should provide more information (in alphabetical order by name of brand):

Atama Gi Pants

Atama's (kimonos) are nice and cheap, but the pants fall apart after awhile.

I used to have an ATAMA gold weave - It was pretty nice, alittle heavy but very strong. Right now I use a Koral and its very comfortable. I love wearing it. No seam in the back, the collar is nice and the pants dont suck [the implication I see is that Atama's pants suck].

Fuji Gi Pants
(1)
I have a pair of Fuji's, that while they're not the top eschelon of gi pants they seem fairly solid.
My problem is that after rolling for any amount of time these things get totally soaked at the tie's bind up in the back. I haven't disected them but I imagine there is a single channel sewn into the top of the gi pants, with the ties anchored down on the oposite side of the side the tie comes out of.
So the left tie is channeled through the belt area and then is sewn down into the pants. In this way you can pull on both ties and cinch up the back.
The problem is when all this gets sweaty it all sticks together.
I'm wondering if there aren't any designs out there that have improved on this so that its not a battle to get out of them at the end of the night. And that if a fella has to take a piss its not such a hassle.
I'm thinking that separate channels for each tie lined in some sort of water proof / slick material might be an improvement. Anyone ever run into any that aren't like the Fuji's.

HCK Gi Pants
(1)
Quality:
The quality of this gi is THICK. Once I received it, I knew it was not going to rip. In comparison to my adidas gi, the HCK gi pants seems almost like jeans. The weight of the Gi pants is quite heavy so that took some getting used to. If you dont like heavy gi pants, than you should stay with the Adidas Club Gi which is lighter and thinner.
Material:
The material seems to be high quality. I washed it 2x already to shrink a little and it fits and feels wonderful. Sometimes, gi pants absorb too much sweat and start to really annoy rather than flow. These gi pants didnt do that for me and it is one quality I admire.
Overall:
Good gi pants. You cant go wrong with HCK and the quality is top notch and very sturdy. If you looking for a tough, sturdy gi pants, than definitely check out HCK.
Also, shoutouts to Ron for quick delivery and great customer service.

I have been rolling in mine for a few months now and love them. They have a nice cut that isn't too baggy. The material seems well made, durable and comfortable. The drawstring is really solid/durable and they stay on very well.

Mizuno Rickson Gracie Gi Pants

I really like the Mizuno Rickson Gracie pants (that's the one the SSF pants are modeled after) but I don't care that much for the other Mizuno gi pants. So if you do order the Mizuno pants make sure you are getting the Rickson pants and not the Judo pants that the rest of the Mizuno gis come with.

MKimonos Gi Pants
(1)
M Kimonos are Very Very comfortable, with a good collar that isn't too stiff like a HCK. It also doesn't tend to open up all the time like the atamas. the fabric is great but the pants CAN use a little more work. (older edition pants were the greatest).

Ouano Gi Pants
(1)
I have an Ouano gi and I love it. I'll definitly get another.
The pants probably will be too short. I'm 5'7" and I got the A2 because I'm about 175 lbs. I actually kind of wish I'd gone a size smaller on pants. They almost touch the ground at my heels and the waist is hard to tie tight enough. I've tried shrinking them but they won't do it.
A1 will be too short. A2 will probably be just right in length if you like you gi pants to hit a little above the ankle, but they willl be too big in the waist. Your only option might be to get an A2 and have the waist tailored.
If I were you I'd just email John Ouano. He gave me great customer service when I ordered my gi. He'd have the best advice.

Sirius Gi Pants

What i Meant with the Sirius Gi Pants and you can add this if you like is that the crotch is to tight, and the tightening mechanism hardly does anything anymore. My pants have fallen off a few times in training (all the way lol!) but when were doing shots at the beginning of of class If i go crazy I know I can rip it. So basically it falls down because its to loose, and its tighter in the knees/crotch/thighs than the other one.

SSF Gi Pants

After wearing these pants to class on Friday and Monday, and at my test on Saturday, I have to say that I am really impressed. The material on these pants is very nice and soft, and looks like it will last for a while, even though the pants are just singles. The drawstring is really solid and ensures that these pants will stay on, even when tied low on the hips.
What is most impressive to me is the cut. These pants have a nice, tight cut, that is much more comfortable and "stylish" than the baggy pantaloon-type pants that come with most gis. Even though they are tighter, they do not restrain mobility. I was doing guard work, and throwing uchi mata and tomoe nage without any difficulty. If the top (which I have not seen) is anywhere near as good as the pants, Ron should have one of the best gis available on the market at a great price.
Look for this gi sometime soon, as Ron mentioned that he has a few full uniforms (top and bottom) on a ship to the US right now. After seeing the pants, I am totally sold on this gi and will be getting one asap.

I'm actually seriously considering getting some extra gi pants, and saving my pink pants for competitions and such when I go down south, that and I might like to incorpoate the gi pants into my nogi game.
Appears sticky worthy.

Haha, nice. Thanks, Foz.
I'll be back tomorrow afternoon to add some comments I saw in the "Best Gi" thread. In the meantime, please contribute your opinions, grapplers.

Also, any information about which brands sells the pants alone would help. There's more information I've found in this forum about pants, but it's irrelevant for nogi grapplers if they can't buy the pants alone (example: the Groundforce pants were well-reviewed by Scorcho, but I don't believe he sells the pants in isolation).
