Ok here's my take. I'm 6'1", 205 and the A3 fits me just a hair too tight. I bought the A4, and I'm gonna try to shrink it down, as I'm wary of getting an A3, since if it shrank at all, it would be undersized for me....anyways having said all that, I'm thinking at your size, you'd be swimming in an A3.

Vice grip - thanks for the tip. So you reckon the A3 would be kind of big for me. So I should get an A2 instead.

Thanks!

By the way, my waistline is size 34.

Im kind of confused on which size to get. An A2 might be good lengthwise but the fit may be too tight or snug for me. While the A3 may be a bit too long and baggy for me unless I shrink and dry it.

What do you think, guys?

Many thanks for the help.

Chuck,

You may have already seen this, but here's a Platinum A2 review with pics...

Review: Gameness Platinum Weave Gi

Compare your build to this guy, and you should have a pretty good idea of whether or not you need that A3 Kimono. If you do end up getting the A3, you can always have the legs hemmed up if they are too long, it's an easy job.

Oh and yes, I've had to hot wash-hot dry/shrink every one of my Kimono tops to get them to fit how I want...it's pretty common practice to get the right fit that way, then just cold wash/hang dry them from that point on.
