Need Help With Competition Gloves

I am about to start fighting this summer when school gets out so I can train around 4 hours a day 4-5 days a week and I was wondering what glove are approved for amateur competition.

I was thinking

http://www.thunderfightgear.com/prod...products_id=53

http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=23743

http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=23742

http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=23880

http://www.kikskinmartialarts.com/valetudoglove.asp
The ones at the top

http://nextmovegear.com/fight/index....1c788a967829ff

I am a striker so I was favoring the heavier vale tudo gloves to protect my hands and help with the knock outs.

But I am new to the sport so I really don't know.
I have tried on some Ouano style gloves and don't really like the way the padding lays or the completely open palm.
Thanks for the help.

I prefer the truth gloves since they're exactly like combat sports, but cheaper.

nextmovegear gives great products. You might wanna give their 7oz gloves a go

I would stick with Combatsports or go with the fairtex gloves.

The amateur fights that my friends fought in seemed to have almost no regulation as to gloves people brought all sorts of gloves. That said if i was competing these would be what i am using http://www.fullcontactoutlet.com/fai...-thumb-fg.html

Oh yeah I forgot about Fairtex. But I think the 10 oz Starpaks would help my striking with protection and power. Does anyone know about the Starpaks or Cleto Reyes/Boxergenics ?
If they aren't very good I will go with the Fairtex. How does the sizing on the Fairtex run ?

if you're a striker, the thicker the padding the better in training. i'm a striker myslef, but i have issues with structural damage to my hands when i use too small of gloves in training.

Go with the combat sports...either pair...it depends if you like the open palm or not. If you know what org you ar going to be fighting for, check with them and see what they use.

I really don't know with what org yet cuz I still hav bout 2 months til im out of skool, and I am going to be between 2 or 3 instructors a week. 1 for Kenpo and 1 for Kickboxing for sure and maybe grappling. I need gloves with pretty good wrist support cuz my left wrist is starting to f-up. I think a thumb sleeve would be nice but it seems like it might get in the way. I know you can get the Fairtex with a thumb sleeve but how is the wrist closure ? Single velcro or Wrist Wrap ? I have heard pretty much all good things about the Fairtex , but is there any problems or complaints y'all have bout them ?

Thanks

Thanks for all the help. I think I have pretty much narrowed it down to the Starpaks , Thunder Fight Gear Pride Style gloves , The Level 4 PrimeTimes and the Fairtex. Which is the best out of them ?
