I have some everlast gloves, and they're pretty good. The foam is wearing down after months of use tho, but that was expected. Also, I have 12 oz and 16 oz, and they don't really feel all that different besides the weight. Hope that helps.

I train with 14oz Everlasts. I really like them because of the great feel, the consistency of the padding, and they haven't ripped anywhere yet.

it's almost impossible to lace-up both gloves on your own.

i have the hook and loop version, and it's easy to put on by yourself.

the wrist support of the everlasts are the best of all my gloves. (ringside imf tech training, ringside safety training)

Hmmm... sounds to me like the Twins gloves have held up pretty well. Are you saying they have turned to garabage after 5 yrs of use, or they have always been garbage?

If you are going to use the glvoes for some sparring, I would say stick with 16ozs. If you are just going to do bag/pad work then go for the smaller gloves if you like.
