Shave your legs, the CSI ones come off a lot easier then. 'Course that's a hell of a lot of time spent shaving to cut your time getting them off by 3-5 minutes each training session, but it is another way.

Cageside, a little thought from my creative side. What if you stuck with what you have. Then add a piece of neoprene that is sewn onto one side of the shinguard, from top to bottom. On the other side have velcro, from top to bottom, only not where the straps are located. This velcro however doesnt velcro on the outside, it velcros along the inside, on the inside edge of the shinguard, basically forming a full strip that will cover the other straps, and keep them from coming undone. Since its on the inside, it wont get caught and pull off when grappling.
Chaching, I think that will be the best shinguard ever. Make one like that and Ill test drive it as the designer. Maybe it can be my signature series.

That's actually a pretty good idea. As long as the neoprene would stop the inside velcro from chaffing your leg that is.

Yeah it will cover all of the velcro, and the part of the velcro that is not scratchy will be pointed towards the leg. In my imagination, at least.

Yes, we have some prototypes like you describe . We can't seem to get it just right though. Our current model is extremely popular and we are trying to modify it slightly to make it even better
Thanks for the input!

Maybe i will... It's hell trying to get those things off, after training. I have a pair of Top Contender GSG, and have no complaints.
