They feel like a soft single weave almost. They are flexible, but they are durable at the same time. I never really have problems with it coming untied during class. It really is a high quality belt, and I get compliments on it all the time

must it be a special bjj-belt?
as far as i know, "normal" martial-arts belts, used for judo, karate, etc. are mostly dark-blue and also available in good quality.
check out mizuno or toraki for example. (i have had a cheap dark blue from a local shop.)

by the way: iīve read on an other forum (judoforum.com), that in bjj dark blue belts are only for students which teach others (canīt find the link at the moment) and "regular" students wear light blue. Is it true?

I got a cheap one that was super thin and super dark. It was given by Pedro so I kept it but always kind of hated it. My purple is an Atama and it kicks ass except it's starting to really fall apart.

War blue belts are sort of dark. The purples are super dark at first and take a while to lighten up. I like the quality, thickness and gi material of their belts. Good stuff!

Why is it that the link you showed is in english but it says "this page is just to show our prodcuts, to buy click here" and then when you click everything is in another language?

Does anyone know where to get a WAR belt other than brazilianfightwear.com? If brazilianfightwear is my only option, what can I expect to pay in shipping? (I live in Maryland)

from jiujitsu.net:

"there were originally only 3 belts in the Gracie Jiu-jitsu system: white, blue, and dark blue. This means that somewhere along the way (recently), new belts were made up and shortly thereafter, new associations sprouted up from the original ones (also meaning that neither Carlos or Helio were 'given' a Black Belt in Judo or Jiu-jitsu from it's source). "
