If you just want a plan guard with nothing on it I do them for 79.40 which includes shipping, the design is 10 extra. Basically it boils down to you and what level you want to take the sport too.
Haha well I'll think about it but I think that "what level you want to take the sport too" would have to do with your skill level more than how expensive the gear you buy is...

Thats intresting you say that. Since I got my custom I've found myself watching or trying to figure out what mouthguards differnt fighters use. And last weekend I could have sworn that Jamie Varner had a lime green Shock Doc double. I recongized it cause someone at the gym bought one from Walmart the week before. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure unless it was some sort of custom double made to look like a shock doc from walmart.

But the truth is most pro's use custom made mouthguards and a few don't. I prefer my custom

Yeah, I've noticed some pro fighters wearing bnbs in several of the smaller orgs. It's a much more common sight there. Not every pro fighter can afford customs right off the bat afterall, without sponsorship that is. At the top level however, the only reason I see to wear a bnb is if the fighter really REALLY prefers a double mouthguard, and custom doubles usually cost a lot more. Or maybe they lost their custom or it got damaged and needed replacing and had to make do with a backup bnb.

Well maybe, but you also don't see guys that have been fighting for a few months buy a custom mouth guard and go pro now, do ya? Hehe, just had to say it.

You dont need to be a pro to have a nice mouthguard. 89 bucks is better than getting teeth replaced. Plus, it means you will take care of it and wear it. I have had many boil n bites over the years, I either lose them or leave them at the gym, or I just dont wear them at all. This one will be worn all times when I wrestle. So, its money well spent. It may not be for everyone, but I like it.

Actually, a lot of guys buy custom mouthguards who aren't even pros. If you're going pro, or even amateur, I don't see any reason not to get a custom. If someone can afford it and wants the best protection for their teeth, custom is where it's at.

These look a helluva lot better than the customs I got from the local sports store. Comfortable and safe as well as good looking.
I think once I'm settled over in the states in a few months I might have to go ahead and order one. Thanks for the review.
