i'll look at them when considering next guard although im in uk which could up the cost
It will only cost $20 more because of the custom's charge even though shipping does go up but I do not make you pay for that just because of where you live. Hit me up if you have any questions. Thanks.

I have been looking for a single guard for bjj/wrestling. How much for a custom guard?

The grappling one is 89 dollars. The MMA one is 130 because its thicker. You an design it and wear it within 2 weeks.

89 dollars? What makes these so much better than say a boil-and-bite double for a quarter of the price?

protects your teeth better
protects your jaw better
offers more protection from a concussion
doesnt fall out when you open your mouth

the question you have to ask yourself is if your simply doing BJJ, how much protection do you really need? I'd say if your doing any striking/MMA, go for a custom guard, BJJ you can usually get away with a boil n bite, but if you can afford it, you will definitely get superior performance/protection

It is basically everything that blacknight said. The two biggest concerns are keeping it in your mouth to allow better breathing especially for competition. I know the last thing I want to think about for 6 minutes is clinching my teeth during grappling comps. The second issue is that you can customize it to what ever you want. If you just want a plan guard with nothing on it I do them for 79.40 which includes shipping, the design is 10 extra. Basically it boils down to you and what level you want to take the sport too.
