Icon9 Combat Sports Pro-Style Bag Gloves

Anybody have any experience with these? I was looking for a good pair of 14-16 oz gloves for heavy bag and pad work. I didn't want big "pillows" on my hand. CSI is essentially the same company as Ringside, so I figured that the CSI Bag Gloves would be pretty decent...

They came in the other day and I have to say that I am very disappointed. The inside lining of the gloves is falling out and the leather is torn on the right glove. The stiching is torn in several places. My main complaint was the seemingly weak wrist support... Keep in mind that these are the first gloves that I've bought (I've been using the "rental" gloves at my kickboxing gym)

To be fair, these gloves were on sale at for $39.95 (even cheaper than mmamuscle! ) at http://www.combatsports.com/detail.aspx?ID=22236 . Also, my other stuff came in fine (CSI gel shock handwrap, windy steel cup, cheap shockdoctor mouthguard).

Now I know that these were probably just a fluke/defective gloves, and needless to say I am returning them. I could just exchange them for another pair of the same gloves, but the lack of wrist support has me concerned. I'm looking around for other bag gloves but I can't seem to find a kind that I want, ie small enough for pad work, good wrist support, 14-16 oz.

Hopefully one of ya'll can allay my doubts about the CSI Prostyle Bag Gloves.. and if not maybe recommend me a different pair. Do you think bag gloves are worth it? It seems many people just use "training" gloves for heavy bag work, contrary to what I've heard about the importance of using bag gloves.

Also, although I've heard great things about Ringside's Super Bag Gloves and Windy Super Bag Gloves, they are only 12 oz...

Some other potential gloves were: Title Platinum Bag Gloves http://store.titleboxing.com/platbagglov.html

Ringside IMF Tech Bag Gloves http://www.ringside.com/detail.aspx?ID=25499

Ringside Ultimate Bag Gloves http://mmamuscle.com/index.php?targe...roduct_id=1832

Thanks for any help/input/comments and sorry for the long ass post

i have the CSI thai style training gloves http://mmamuscle.com/index.php?targe...roduct_id=1950

they are awesome.. i recieved them in August.. they've been through some hellish bag work and sparring sessions since i recieved them.. and not a tear on them.. no stitching coming out.. very high quality gloves for a discounted price..

alot of people like the windy thai style training gloves.. the csi and the windy's are very similar in construction.. personal preference i guess.

I have 2 pairs of the Red 14oz CSI Thai gloves brand new for sale if you guys are interested. I also have a pair that I use myself and they are great. I've had them about 6 months now and they have held up great. I honestly like them more than my Twins 14oz gloves.
