Bag gloves: traditional vs 'super', under $50?

I'm in the market for some new bag gloves. I've never used the 12 oz 'super' style bag gloves before, and have used either 14 or 16 oz training gloves on the bag, or 8 oz traditional style bag gloves(what I'm using now, Ringside pro bag gloves). Was wondering what benefits the 'super' gloves have over the traditional style... besides the obvious stuff such as better hand protection and a slightly tougher workout due to the weight. Also, wondering if there's anybody out there who thinks I should stick with the traditional style and why.

Generally I'm looking for a good set of leather gloves for under $50 that would last a year or two. Preferably $30 or under... but I'm open to suggestions on slightly more expensive gloves if they'll last a good 2+ years. I train 5 days a week in the gym. Generally not more than 3 rounds a day on the heavy bag and then some mitt/pad work.

I noticed Ringside has their 'Striker' bag gloves on sale for $30... they seem to have a mexican style shape to them.

Anybody know how they are? Also looking at the Title Super bag gloves, and Warrior bag gloves.

TITLE Classic Leather Super Bag Gloves from Title Boxing
Warrior Pro Bag Gloves - Leather from Title Boxing

Thanks for any advice.

I'm not a gearhead, so I can't really answer your questions. However, I bought the 'super bag glove' variety.

I got them from an old school mom & pop boxing shop in NYC, :: G&S Boxing ::

This is the Super Bag Gloves that I got. G&S Heavy Bag Gloves. They are 14oz, designed for heavy bag work. They cost $45.

They feel very solid and comfortable. If you have questions you can email the owner. He'll get back to you in a day or 2. I met him in person, he was a former boxer and his father was a boxer as well. I heard good things about G&S on the web, so I paid a visit since I needed bag gloves. The owner seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Me and another guy talked to him a bit. He answered questions and explained how things were in the older days of boxing, and the boxing gyms/scene in the area.

I found a thread in a boxing forum that praised the G&S gloves, comparing them to other more expensive gloves. It's a great value they say. Amazing quality for that price. I've only used them for a short while, but they definitely feel good to use, and looks like will hold up well. Here's the link to that thread, with pictures, My Shevlin and Casanova - Boxing Forum - Boxing Discussion Forums

I have the Title "Pro" Super Bag Gloves in Red, 14oz., and they are good gloves. I paid $59.99 for mine, but they have been on sale now for awhile for $44.99. No bells and whistles, just good solid bag gloves.
