Ive been looking for these forever, id buy them the second I see them.

I was thinking of getthing ankle supports, modifing them to fit the opposide way. Then buying a cheap pair of wrestling shoes and removing the rubber sole, attaching them to the "sock". I dont think they would stand up to much abuse, but im getting desperate

I was thinking these might be the closest thing to what Jeff Monson and Dennis Hallman were wearing.

my trainer told me that wearing wrestling shoes while kick-boxing is a bad idea. if someone throws and inside low kick on your leg, you want you leg to be able to slide backwards and not be stuck to the floor where it will bend you leg in weird ways, and it will worsen the impact because your leg wont move back... i hope that made sense.

I just had my first bjj class today. It was alot of fun, but the top of my right foot got scraped up pretty bad and is burning. Does anyone wear wrestling shoes to bjj class or does wrestling socks help? I've never wrestled so I have no clue.

All you can really do is wait out the mat burns until your skin toughens up. Wrestling shoes are really only a good option when your feet aren't flailing through the air.

Granted, those volleyball booties look like they may be flexible and soft enough not to cause any extra damage to your opponent.
