I'm 5'8" and 28" the Sprawls end right above the knee (Flexfighter XT and V-Flex). If you want past the knees, order Nogis. The 28" Nogis that I have go below the knee on mee.

Better for kicking and playing guard. I really like my Tapouts, though you do have to wear something underneath them as they are a bit short and ride up while grappling.

The sprawls will not go pat your knee, at least the Flexfighter series won't. I can't speak for hte v-flex but imagine they are cut similarly. Given you specs they might touch the top of the knee but that's it. Tapout and Nogi make shorts that can hang over your knee. I'd go with the latter company as their service is outstanding while I can definitely say hte same doesn't apply to Tapout. The nogis fit big so go with a 30 if you are a 31. With Sprawl I'd go a size up and go with 32. With the v-flex though I'm not sure what size you should go for.

I'm 5'6'' 150lbs. and my sprawls come right to my knee cap. As for sizing, the new Sprawl V-Flex shorts run more true to size than the 2006 Flex Fighters since the Flex Fighters ran small. Basically, they made the V-Flex shorts with a slightly larger cut. My Flexfighters are size 34 and they fit me great and my V-Flex shorts are size 32 and they fit me great as well. Service wise, I can't say enough for Sprawl...Their customer service is incredible!!! They are great with the fast shipping now too!

As for my Tapouts, I have the Hawaiian Ocean Blue & Green Long shorts as well as the Chuck Liddell Signature Series Shorts. The Hawaiian shorts seem to be longer than the Chucks. Both are a bit wider at the leg opening than my Sprawl's though.

By the way, if anyone wants to buy a pair of the Chuck Liddell Signature Series shorts in a size 32 PM me!

Hope this helps!
