I also have a bunch of people that pay for a valuation on their homes annually just so they can refinance their homes to pay for consumer debt.

I call this generation (mine) "Generation NOW". Getting things now just cos we can and not thinking of the consequences. I mean, I've heard of people on very average incomes with $70k in revolving credit facilities. I mean who needs all that? To put it in G&E terms, that's a whole lotta shorts........

Very true. In your line of work what do you consider average incomes? Is it around 50k? And you're from the bay area right Foppa? I wanna see how my salary stacks up. I get paid 50k a year. I am glad my parents taught me the value of saving money.

I have 1 pair of fight shorts and I use old athletic and basketball shorts to roll. I have 1 gi (a judo one so its not very expensive). The only thing I really spent money on were rashguards. I have 4 of them. I bought them for sanitary reasons.

Recent purchases include:
  • Twins thai gloves 16 oz. (muaythaistuff.com)
  • 3 pairs of Twins thai shorts (muaythaistuff.com)
  • 2 Chute Boxe Sirts (mmawarehouse.com)
  • 1 Fokai Ground Control Shirt (mmawarehouse.com)
  • 20 Ringside Handwraps (ringside.com)
  • Chute Boxe Vale Tudo Shorts (budovideos.com)
  • Casca Grossa Vale Tudo Shorts (casca-grossa.com) <--- best vale tudo shorts I own
  • 2 Affliction Shirts (Sherk and xtreme couture bomber) (mmawarehouse.com)
  • 2 Sprawl Shorts (mmawarehouse.com)

And as much stuff as I have right now, I'm always looking at more. Possible upcoming purchases include
  • Blue A3 Fuji BJJ gi
  • Sprawl V-Flex XT Brown, Blue/Grey, and White (love my sprawls.. only shorts I wear other than vale tudo)

yes, its an addiction... but also well within a very well thought out and planned budget. Instead of going out to eat and buying food and beer, I buy gear. Then again, unless I'm at work and wearing work clothes, I'm really just wearing clothes to work out or go to class in.

I'm trying to get addicted but I am cheap and stay within a budget. Addictions don't favor budgets. I just budget for my addiction. I like having running water, electricity and food at home.
