I disagree. If you can point me to a more solid resource in the mainstream, I'd love to check it out.
Personally, I like that they streamline their supplement line. They have almost exclusively staples. It's the sites with 10,000 supplements they're trying to sell you that are usually bogus. They gotta hype up some new snake oil every week.
Relatedly, I recently got a Vitamin Shoppe catalogue in the mail. It's actually really good. They use words like "may" and "probably" and "theorized". They're on top of the science, too. They sell a lot of useless shit, but it's cutting edge. I looked down on them a little bit, before, but they scaled a notch with that catalogue.

Plus, they've got some good online coupons. I got a couple tubs of Garden of Life Perfect Food from them (price of GOL Perfect Food = same everywhere) and found a $20 off $100 code to use.

Mind and Muscle is one of the better forums for info. At least it use to be i haven't been to it in a while Also Bulknutrition has some good articles and links. Biotest had a million adds for thier state of the art gel cap deliver system for tribex and then they came out with thier new ones and kinda forgot all about those. Biotest uses alot of hype to sell products. I have never seen an article on T-Nation to say anything bad about a Biotest product. Are Biotest products really that great that there is nothing bad about them? They use a filter system on what information they give out. Biotest is pretty good about have articles to discredit thier competitors and to give praise for thier own products. Why is T-nation the only place to have this article? It takes many studies on many differnt types of subjects to prove or disprove a theory.

Biotest owns T-nation. They are not going to post articles on their supplements not working.
They do, however, have a reasonably free forum in which I have seen both other companies recommended without moderation and their products questioned to some extent.
T-nation is the only place to have that article because they paid Dave Barr for it. He wrote it, and it is now theirs. That is how writing works.
If I could afford it, I would probably use ****bolic Drive, ****bolic Drive Complete, and Surge for all of my peri-workout needs. I use a micronized creapure as is, so their creatine is perfect. I would use their fish oil, and I would use their new Beta-alanine product. Several of their more risky (in terms of it actually doing something) products are also interesting.
Any place that gives you free Berardi, Lowery, Barr, Tate, Poliquin, etc is fine by me.
