Workout/Supplement opinions

I just wanted to get a few opinions on what you guys think of this situation and if you'd worry about protein or any other products.

Mondays I train mixed martial arts for about 1.5 hrs

Thursdays I train mixed martial arts for about 1.5 hrs

Some thursdays I do 1hr of boxing and a weightlifting session

Sundays I do about 1hr of boxing and a weightlifing session

On top of all that I'm a shift worker.

This is my basic minimum training squedule at the moment. Based on this ti****ble, would you guys bother to use any protein or any other suppliments?

If so, would you only take on the training days? Before or after the workout sessions?

What type of products would you reccomend?

Thanks in advance...

I would take whey protein shake daily. On the 3 days I work all day I come home and still do a light workout later in the evening (pushups, jumprope ect) to keep my muscles active and build endurance, than take the shake right after.

Ofcource none of this matters if you're diet is a mess.

Protein shake monday-friday. Maybe with added L-glutamine and some BCAA

Everyone should have a protein shake (Optimum Nutrition is the best for your money in the States, not sure what you have in Australia). Morning, pre-workout... don't worry about overdoing it. What's the rest of your diet like?

Diet is pretty good, could always be better but it's not terrible.

I'm getting the general idea to go with protein. As far as te cost in Australia, I can get a decent sized tub for about US$10.00 and if I'm only having it twice a week then that should last fort months.

After making this post I'm considering changing my weight training to a broken up 4-5 day a week program and possibly adding one more day of BJJ training. If that is the case I might look into daily shakes.

Also, I was planning on adding Bananas into the shake to make it more tollerable, but the price of them has gone up to $15.00 a kilo after the Hurricane, that makes them a pretty expensive additive. Dearer than the supliments!

Because the average person doesent get enough protein and i for one can not afford to simply buy extra meat (although i wish i could) all the time. Hell the suggested daily value on nutritional facts says 50g a day. Now if you want me to know whats wrong with a low protein diet send a pm to king kabuki or madmick with the title - low protein is good for you
