Do you get gassy from any consumption of whey protein or do you have to take a lot? One of the reasons why I've been sticking to Muscle Milk forever is the stories about whey protein and gas side effects.

i hardly ever drink milk but i have no problems drinking it, so i doubt i'm lactose. maybe i'll try one scoop of the protein instead of two like the instructions say. i read some of the faqs but they get too much into detail, i aint all serious bout these supplements and diet and stuff
Also, try whey protein isolate. It contains less fat, carbs. lactose, cholesterol, less everything. Therefore, it is a more pure source of protein. This is easier for many to digest.

Another thing: If your trying to lose weight (or have any specific training goal in mind), the info you're looking for concerns general diet and excerise information FAR beyond the scope of a whey protein discussion. The info is on here, but I don't think this thread is the place to discuss it. Hope that helps, you can PM me if you want to discuss things further.

I just bought some Isolate for the first time and it's pretty good. It's definitely a lot lighter and it doesn't give me any stomach problems when I use it in the morning. For someone like me who has always used Whey concentrate I was like "WTF?" when I saw how thin the isolate was when I mixed it.

Well, that's an amazing bump, but at least someone is reading the stickies.

Most of that info is still fairly accurate, but I should do some updating.
