There's not so much of a problem with steaming veggies. Some micronutrients are lost, but others, like certain antioxidants (such as those in carrots, tomatoes, spinach) are released for more optimal digestion by the heat.

My broccoli thing above was for steamed broccoli. You steam it, drain it, add the sb/oil, then the spices and parmesan.

At the moment i'm eating steamed brocolli, corn beef hash, steamed spinach and raw spinach

Hummus, asian sesame seed sauce, or any other low-cal salad dressing. I steam it lightly for about 2-3 minutes sometimes. I have a steamer with a "spice screen" just put garlic or basil or whatever in the screen, the steam come up though the spice and "infuses" it into the brocoli. Very tasty!!
