A weight loss game.
I heard about this on NPR today. I only heard a snippet of the entire program, but the idea was cool. Here's how it works:
First, make your weight loss goals public. This forum is a good a place as any.
My goal: Lose 20 lbs by April 15th. I'm 189 now, and want to get to 169.
IF I don't meet my goal, then I make a cash donation to an organization, presidential candidate, cause, etc, that I despise.
So, for example, if I hate Hillary Clinton, or Nick Romney, then I'd donate $ to their campaign if I don't meet my goal.
I've decided to donate $50 to a man I really can't stand, Rush Limbaugh, if I don't make my goal of 169 by April 15th. It's up to you guys to hold me to it.
Anybody else want to play?
There's all kinds of variations on this theme, so be inventive.

that does sound quite intriguing... im squirming in my seat to try this because i dont know if id want to donate to some of those causes i hate.

maybe this is a stupid question but, should you lose, why wouldn't you donate your money to a cause that's actually worthwhile?
there's a number of causes out there that actually need your support.

ok ill do it 170 by the end of april. May 1st ill take a picture of the scale and im going to use NAMBLA as well if thats cool with you, dan =) hrmm ill go with 30 dollars
