Both apple cider vinegar and white vinegar contain %5 acetic acid. But the apple cider vinegar is a helluva lot more palatable. I think the tree huggers have been pushing apple cider vinegar for years, but I have have no idea why. I'm sure it has other qualities other than enhanced glycogen repletion, but I could really care less.

Plus, I just made a kickass simple salad dressing last night using apple cider vinegar, Udo's oil, and Mrs. Dash.

Wow, day one of try some vinegar with my shake. Since I didn't want to ruin the whole PWO shake I just took a shot glass full of apple cider vinegar and then chased it with my PWO shake. Not horrible but sure as hell not good either.

Trust me, it's waaaaaaaaaay better in the shake. Kinda like throwing in a bunch of spinach---once it's been chopped fine, you know it's there, but can't taste it.

Powdered Gatorade top ingredients=sucrose, dextrose, citric acid, sodium

Toss in some creatine mono and there you go PWO. I was unaware of the benefits of citric acid PWO prior to this post.

I've got to say, I am impressed. I've tried all sorts of things in the past, creatine doesnt seem to speed my recovery, BCAA's... it's now been a bit over a week, two full body workouts at the gym, BJJ, some uphill HIIT, and ACV seems to have significantly reduced the soreness I feel the day after a good workout. The fact that other things havnt worked in the past in spite of all my hopes convinces me that this isnt a placebo effect - I really do seem to be recovering faster. I've been taking Bragg's organic apple cider vinegar - a swig in the morning, and one before and one after a workout.

And here my hippy brother has been trying to get me to take it for years and I wrote it off as nonsense... he's gloating now the bastard.

HMM? I've been taking powdered Gatorage both during and PWO with some Ice Tea Whey. I wonder if the citirc acid is enough? ( I take approx 40 grams for my 2 hour workout, finishing the last 30% right at the end of the session, before eating my egg white/salsa omelette and Green Goodnes PWO meal)

I have heard athletes drink pickle juice PWO. Hell, they even have "Pickle Juice Sport" that Jason Witten pimps here in Dallas. Maybe this is why.
