Juice & Milk instead of Water?

I was wondering about how everyone says to make sure to drink lots of water. I drink a lot of fluids everyday, but it's equally divided between water, 100% pure fruit juice (not from concentrate), & milk. Does water = water, or are other fluids like juice & milk OK?

KK should explain more.

Yes, juice, milk, and COFFEE (yes, I said it) can all keep you completely hydrated.

A study done on gatoraide and water for hydration found that they hydrated people the same. The only difference was gatoraide accomplished more/better rehydration because the people drank more, presumably because it tastes better.

The upside to thinks like fruit juice and mild are minerals (calcium) and vitamins (vit D, C, etc..). The downside is the very high sugar content.

If you are cutting, cut them out. You can get those vitamins and minerals from other sources that don't contain the sugar.

If you are bulking, keep the milk, but cut out most of the fruit juice. There is just too much sugar in fruit juice to drink a lot of it.
