Icon14 using a steamer

You all have probably heard that it is best to cook pretty much everything possible in a steamer so it holds all the nutrients in and you dont lose any in water. I have a 2 tier one and use it twice a day. The bad thing about that is that Im getting pretty sick and bored with it because there is no variety. I was wondering if anyone has any good tricks or recipes for using a steamer. I have a couple that might grab attention in here-

1. You can hard boil eggs in it, all you have to do is put in as many as you want and steam it for 15 minutes. When that is done you put them under cold water for about 2 minutes and then de shell it. I guarantee you will never de shell an egg faster. It falls right off. I love this method because you dont have to worry about overcooking and they cook just right everytime.

2. Cut up potatoes and cook em for 30 minutes. You will instantly be hooked. Pour some flavored salt on them while you cook them. They taste so good I dont even use butter.

You can do this in a steamer basket too (this is how I hardcook all my eggs). Additionally you can bake eggs to hard cook them (but I've had limited results with this method. and you DO have to worry about overcooking them. Typically steam has a much greater temperature than boiling water, and you can overcook the shit out of your eggs. I really only steam mine for about 10 minutes, leaves the yolk a moist and it's just about perfect... but it's something you have to play with.
