Training day foods

I have a good idea of what is healthy to eat and what is not but I don't know the specifics of how different foods effect my body.

What should I eat throughout a day of light to heavy cardio work, stretching, and some bodyweight exercises? I'm trying to raise my stamina and increase strength and endurance in my muscles. Lean foods are preferred.

thanks

Beans. Lots and lots of beans, especially on squat days.
