Tinned Fruit?

I always start my way with a super shake which consists of 4-5 strawberries and a few rasberries, whey, oats, flax and creatine. My problem is that strawberries aint cheap and when they go off the following day or 2 I have to make the trip to get some more. I have found that my local supermarket sells tinned strawberries ingredients are:

Strawberries, Strawberry juice!!!???, Water and Sugar

Are they ok to eat?

No there will be way too many sugars in them. Buy some frozen strawberries and use them instead.

Frozen Frozen Frozen!
Sam's or one of those places you can get the big bag, which equals cheaper price. Blueberries are generally a little cheaper then strawberries around here, add some of those.
Cranberries are great also. Give your shake a little tartness.

Cheers

In that case, when you buy fresh berries and they seem like they are getting awfully ripe (ready to go bad) toss them in a baggie and stick them in the freezer. That way they atleast aren't wasted.
