Taking weight lifting supplements while training?

Injured my wrist couple months ago weightlifting and don't plan on going back till early next year. I will get back to full time training(muay thai, nogi) next month. Right now I'm just going to take my Multivitamin and Fish Oil. I usually use purple wraath for my weights but should I take it for my martial arts as well?

Probably really no reason to take it at all. I have never used it but whey, fish oil, multi vit are all i seem to need.

Have you tried not using it?

I only started using it earlier in the year. I see a little difference, my energy is up and my recovery is faster. You're take whey for MA or just for the weights?

So it`s basically just BCAA`s and EAA`s... but purple? I mean WTF does the purple have to do with it? Couldn`t you just stick to BCAA`s and protein?
Anyways, this is hardly a "weight lifting supplement" and you can definitely take it for other activities.
A few suggestions tho: 1 read the FAQ, 2 read what`s on the label before you buy a supplement, 3 don`t buy into the supplement hype whether it`s purple or not.

You don't take whey for weights or martial arts, you take it for protein.

Once you make that paradigm shift, I think these issues will be a lot clearer for you.

Yes I know. I was just trying to be clear on what the poster said.

I was referring to the post you started this thread with as well.

I used to use MSM and chondroiton with fish oils for recovering from injuries. Found a new product from cruciblecombat.com called R2 that has these ingredients plus cissus, cetyle meristoleate, astaxanthin, and other factors that combat inflammation along with replacement carbs. It's pretty inexpensive. Been on it two weeks and like the results.

I don't like bodybuilding products as the preworkout and postworkout stuff for bodybuilders always puts waterweight on me. Other than recovering from injuries I stay away from supplements and just try to eat clean and stick with protein rich foods.
