he's just one of the guys who jump on the all-natural supplement-bashing it's-all-marketing bandwagon, when in reality some supplements work and are scientifically proven. Some don't really do much at all and IS all hype and marketing, which is also scientifically proven. But for somebody like him, he's just speculating about his stance, it's most likely an uninformed position.

the FAQ hits it on the haed with this:

"most supplements do what they do, they just don't work miracles and advertising tends to lead people to believe that miraculous results will occur. Because general society is gullible, they tend to believe it then become VERY disappointed when they don't get the miraculous results they dreamed about. The X-factor being that everyone's physiology is different, biologically you might just be a non-responder to something that gets 75% or more of people good results. It's a crap-shoot, so if something doesn't work for you you have no right to go around posting that anything is "bullshit." Unless you quote clinical studies or conduct them yourself, write it off as that your body didn't assimilate it, and shut up about it."

That's it in a nutshell.

Some products are just garbage, or unnecessary. But there are other supplements which work great, particularly if your body is deficient in a certain nutrient or enzyme. For example, a lactose intolerance pill, isn't that just an enzyme which helps a person break down dairy foods? There are other supplements just like that which, without a doubt, can and will help you achieve your health and fitness goals. You just have to be careful and do your research before you start buying, IMO.

i did like what he said about how people like to depend too much on supplements, i mean of course they can help an athlete but i have so many friends that ask me, "how can i lose weight?" or get bigger, or whatever, and i tell them about diet and lifting and they barely pay attention and then ask me if hyrdoxycut will help them, or how good is cell tech? Most people dont realize they supplement the diet, not make the diet. The media must have given people this misconception.

Let's not blame the media for Public Ignorance. People are responsible for their own level of gullibility. Americans specifically have significantly dumbed themselves down in regards to things. They don't want to think, feel, or work if they don't have to. Thus, if you tell them there's dreams and good looks in a bottle, they WANT to believe it's true.

Some people are just flat out dumb and mis/uninformed.

I don't necessarily blame the media per se because most of the utter crap I hear people say, they claimed to have heard about it from someone else. Like the guy I worked with who thought the CEE and Whey I was taking was steroids.
