Supplement Questions

My first question involves whey protein. There are a lot of companies out there that produce whey supplements, and I was just curious if there is any one that is better than the other. I'm currently taking Sci-Fit Econo 100% Whey Protein. If some companies do produce a better product than others, what would some of you suggest?

Second question is about Light Force Greens. I hear a lot about how great this stuff is and how a lot of professional mma fighters take this and what not. Is this some super supplement or something, or is it just overhyped? I ask this because I don't currently take any greens supplements, and I need to. So I'm kind of searching for a good product.

I've been training and working out for a long time, but I'm relatively new to supplements, so forgive me if these questions seem stupid.

Welcome to sherdog. Did you check the FAQ? If so you would've found this: Protein Powder Primer
Get a plain whey protein for post workout, and add your carbs to it separately. You'll save money and know exactly what mix you have (ie: 2:1 carbs:protein).
Concerning the greens supplement, I'm not sure. Greens+ is the most common recommended greens product around here. Make sure you are getting a lot of veges first (preferrably with every meal as stated in this thread: The Principle Behind a Complete Meal (Veggies At Every Feeding)), then supplement with a powder when you don't have the time and/or can't be bothered eating whole foods.
Good luck.

One more tip: Don't listen to ads about what fighters take.

Do you really think that Chuck Liddell's supplement regimen was all Xyience (pre-failure)?

Quite literally, ALL supplements are overhyped. They're only trying to get you to pay the most for something that costs them as little as possible to produce, they care not for your enhancement...

The only solution is to just eat more chicken and high-fiber/vitamine-rich greens. Nothing wrong with a couple shakes a day, but the extra food will work better for you.

Looking for a fight in Va.

I'm a bare knuckle fighter who has great stand up and a descent ground game but has turned forty and has done nothing but underground fighting. Where do I need to go to start so I can become a legitamet fighter. No one gives a dam about a record that can't be proved. The best I've done is 33-3 and that was in 8 months but like I said who cares about a record you can't prove. Any advice?????

If there was any protein it would be whey protein.
